Hello loves! I am so happy to be back. The last weeks were kind of hectic and I really didn’t have the time to sit and write.
In the last year, fashion has changed so much. Sportswear and loungewear are everywhere, and not only to chill at home but also to go out, meet friends and go for walks. I admit that I am not a fan of this trend because it doesn’t make me feel polished and put together, although I like to feel comfortable in my clothes.
When I am in the need of some comfort, I go for soft-fit jeans. There are so many baggy jeans to choose from: boyfriend jeans, mom jeans, flared jeans, and all the ones that have a regular and relaxed fit.
It took a while for me to figure out how to style this trend, I always thought it wasn’t flattering, nor for my body type. But I decided to give a try to the boyfriend jeans and see if I felt confident in them. Before purchasing, I browsed into my boyfriend’s closet and I found a pair of jeans from when he was a teenager. Currently, this is one of my favorite vintage pieces! The quality, the color, and the fit of these jeans are just perfect.
I decided to pair these baggy jeans with a fitted lace-up body top to balance out the figure. I threw on a distressed blazer for those chilly windy moments. To give a street-skater vibe, I opted for these old skool platform Vans to complete the look. And finally, I just added a red lip to give some color and because I had a very lazy make-up moment!
You can style baggy jeans in so many different ways: with sneakers and loose tops for a slouchy look or with ankle boots and fitted tops to look chic. As this style comes right back from the 90s, have a look at your relative’s closets, you might find interesting pieces with an authentic 90s look.
So loves what do you think about this trend, and what is your favorite way to style it?
With love,
