The festive season edit: baby it’s cold outside!

Hello loves! The month of December is close to an end (can you believe that?!) and we are already so close to the holiday season. Christmas songs and movies, lights, the smell of freshly baked sweets, hot chocolate, or gluhwein are everywhere. For me, the festive season is the time to go home and spend time with the loved ones.

The part that I enjoy the most while I am packing for my holidays is picking up some wearable and festive outfits to pull off during this time. I know that not all of us have the chance to wear an over-the-top red gala dress, but during the holidays, we can still add some details to the outfits that can make us feel festive! Whether it is an elegant hairstyle, a red lip, sparkling clothes, or accessories, this is the time we can have fun with the outfits.

You know that I like to shop my closet, find outfits that I already own, and purchase a few new pieces whenever I feel I am missing something. I am sure that all of you have many dresses, skirts, and tops that were not worn more than twice..so let’s take them off the shelf and wear them during the holidays!

For this first outfit, I paired a black turtleneck with a tweed black skirt and shiny black tights. It’s a quite simple outfit but I played with different textures instead of the colors. To be very warm and bundled up also indoors, I added a soft checked jacket and winter boots. For very cold winters, this outfit can be worn easily by adding a puffer jacket on top and thermal clothing under it! A minimal makeup and a red lip and I am ready to meet my friends for a Christmas chilled day!

The second outfit is a bit more dressy. I just love how flattering this top is. The cutout and the puffy sleeves give an elegant touch to the outfit without too much effort. I decided to dress it down with a pair of distressed mom jeans and the same checked jacket, which is my best friend during the winter. This outfit can be also paired with a heel but I prefer these chunky Chelsea boots to keep my feet warm. To finish the look, I added a black sparkings winged eye-liner makeup that I achieved using a wet liner brush and a sparkling eye shadow.

Last but not least is my new years Eve outfit. I purchased this little black dress many years ago and I still wear it as it’s a very classic piece. The lace details on the sleeves and in the back always get me so many compliments! Statement earrings and a red lip are what I would add to it to give some shine, and I am good to go!

I hope you found some inspiration for your festive outfits. If you like to play with colors you can, just wear what makes you feel confident, use what you already have, and purchase what you can also reuse over and over again.

Wishing you a season filled with warm moments and cherished memories, I send all of you a big hug!

With love,

Valentina
